Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Flank steak, cut against the grain and sliced into bite size strips
  • 12 oz. rice noodles, optional
  • 2 cups of green beans, fresh or frozen
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger, peeled and grated or ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup Tamari sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame oil

Instructions

1.       Prepare rice noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process and set aside.

2.       In a large skillet, heat avocado oil over medium heat. Add the flank steak and sear until browned and tender, about 3-4 minutes per side.

3.       Stir in garlic cloves, ginger, green beans and carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes.

4.       In a small bowl, mix Tamari sauce, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, black pepper and Sesame oil.

5.       Add the cooked rice noodles to the flank steak and stir in the sauce making sure everything is evenly coated. Heat on low until the noodles and sauce are warm.
