Ingredients
2
cups
chocolate chips
3
candy canes, crushed
or 24 hard peppermint candies, crushed
Instructions
Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper.
Place peppermint candies in a blender, or seal them in a Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin. (Great for stress relief!)
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler over low heat, or microwave in 15-second intervals until smooth and creamy.
Pour the melted chocolate onto the wax paper and spread to your preferred thickness.
Sprinkle the crushed peppermint over the top, gently pressing the pieces into the chocolate with the back of a spoon.
Let the bark cool completely until firm. Slide the pan into the fridge if you’re in a hurry.
Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!
Notes
Optional Twist:
Stir the crushed peppermint
directly into the melted chocolate
before spreading for a more speckled, candy-cane-throughout texture.
