Hi, I’m Bridget

I believe that home is where the heart resides — a place to create lasting memories and meaningful traditions that can be passed down for generations. Home is a sanctuary, a space to unwind, to laugh, and to be fully yourself.

Originally from Missouri, my Midwestern roots are a deep part of who I am. I learned the essentials of home management from my stepmother, and it was in Mrs. Norton’s 7th-grade Home Economics class that I discovered my love for cooking. Saturdays were often spent in the kitchen baking cakes from Betty Crocker mixes. (My dad used to joke that he lost 10 pounds after I left home!)

Though I’ve lived in the desert for over three decades, those Midwestern values — hospitality, hard work, and heart — are still the foundation of my home.

In 2009, after years of struggling with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), I was diagnosed with gluten sensitivity. Switching to a gluten-free diet, cutting out most processed foods, and learning to reduce stress have all been vital to reclaiming my health. Cooking from scratch has become both a necessity and a joy — a way to nourish my family and care for myself.

Fun Facts About Me

  • I am a Promise Stitcher – a form of heirloom hand quilting
  • I have been gluten-free since 2009
  • Jesus is my happy place
  • I don’t own a microwave (or a dishwasher)

Like life, my home is far from perfect — but it’s filled with love and plenty of laughter. If you dropped by for a visit, you’d probably find me baking something sweet or stitching on my latest quilt. After a warm cup of tea and a cozy chat, you’d likely head home with a belly full of cookies and a smile on your face.

Won’t you join me in creating a joy-filled, homemade life — nourished by grace, goodness, and a little gluten-free love?

From my happy, healthy home to yours,

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
