This easy dinner recipe calls for rice noodles which are naturally gluten-free. However, be sure to read the ingredient label to make sure. I do not eat a lot of processed foods; I prefer this beef dish without noodles. My husband prefers this dish over rice. Regardless of whether you add the noodles or not, this dish can be made in 30 minutes!

Gluten-Free Beef Lo Mein
Ingredients
- 12 oz. Flank steak cut against the grain and sliced into bite size strips
- 12 oz. rice noodles optional
- 2 cups of green beans fresh or frozen
- 1 large carrot grated
- 2 large garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger peeled and grated or ground ginger
- ½ cup Tamari sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Avocado oil or olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame oil
Instructions
- Prepare rice noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat avocado oil over medium heat. Add the flank steak and sear until browned and tender, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Stir in garlic cloves, ginger, green beans and carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix Tamari sauce, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, black pepper and Sesame oil.
- Add the cooked rice noodles to the flank steak and stir in the sauce making sure everything is evenly coated. Heat on low until the noodles and sauce are warm.
