Charlie and the Digital Declutter

This week, something small—but surprisingly refreshing—happened. My cat, Charlie, decided to “help” me tidy up… and kicked off a much-needed digital declutter.

An Unexpected Helper

He was being especially affectionate (and possibly a little mischievous), weaving around my laptop while I worked. Then, with one firm rub against the keyboard, the screen went black. Classic Charlie.

From Tech Glitch to Simple Gift

After restarting, I noticed something strange: Microsoft Edge had quietly taken over as my default browser again. At first, I sighed. But what began as a small tech hiccup turned into a little moment of clarity. I took the opportunity to review my browser settings, clear out trackers, and simplify the way I search online.

The Grace in Small Interruptions

It felt like a mini digital declutter—one I hadn’t planned but clearly needed.

Sometimes, simplicity shows up in unexpected interruptions. A browser reset. A curious cat. A little push to pause and clean up something you didn’t even know was cluttered.

This wasn’t the week I organized a drawer or cleaned out a closet. But I did make space—in my digital life—and it left me feeling lighter.

Charlie, of course, is proud.

Simple Living with a Furry Twist

Simple living isn’t just about tidy counters or neatly labeled bins. It’s also about peace of mind—knowing that what you see, use, and share online reflects your values. This week, Charlie reminded me of that… in his own paws-on way.
